Can we show countries included in a shipping method

It would be really helpful for me and maybe others if we could include with each shipping method a list of countries that are currently included in that method. And then at the bottom of the list a button that says add other countries.
The reason I ask is that I have two shipping methods.
USPS first class
Request a Quote
both of them say enabled. If I go into the method by default it doesn't actually show what countries each method is enabled for.

When I first opened my store I had an average of 1 order a day for a few days. Then 6 days with nothing. Shopping carts were adding up but no sales. I thought this was really odd. Then today I had a previous buyer tell me that upon checkout he wasn't showing any options for shipping. So I had to do some research and testing to make sure that I truly had both of these enabled for the US. Being able to quickly look at a shipping method and see the countries they are active for might have saved me this trouble.
Thanks,
Katie

  • same for me, many carts for a while now. And I wonder that none of them results in an order. Tried shopping in my store and get 'no shipping methods available' (though they are enabled). However, even when I reset the countries and resubmit, it still doesn't work.
  • Okay, I think I will put a detailed breakdown on the delivery page in your store. It would fill up the shipping settings page because there are 250 country names or so if you pick worldwide shipping.

This to clarify, are you aware both of your current shipping methods are US only?
  • And to further that point, why are Guam, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and others broken out from the United States? They are all part of our postal system and need no special consideration. Might shorten the list a touch. :)

  • Aren't they separate countries?
  • About as much as England, Scotland, and Wales are...

  • Righto, I will leave them as they are for now as they have their own ISO country codes
