Hi All

Does having active carts mean that some of my stock is reserved until the buyer decides to buy or empty the cart. If so does the cart automatically empty itself after a period of time ?

Carts and quotes do not reserve any of the inventory.

Also, I believe carts do automatically empty after 1 week. And if someone else buys what another customer has in their cart, they'll get a message telling them next time they visit their cart.

Carts don't empty after one week. If I remember correctly it's something like 6 months. They stop showing as active carts after one week.

I was on vacation and had my store closed for most of 3 weeks. I think I had probably between 30 and 40 active carts when I closed, and had 3 active carts remaining when I opened back up.

If the active carts only reflect the past week of activity, is it possible to fill a cart in a store that is closed. Or could they possibly be carts that have quotes pending? Either way, I'm very glad to see that the number only reflects the last week.
