Selling minifigures

Hey all,

I recently picked up a large lot of minifigures, primarily older city ones. Now I was wondering if ti's better to sell them complete or to part them out?

I have à feeling that loose parts would sell quicker. What kind of experiences do Some of the other Sellers on BO have related to this?

    After so many years, I still battle with this question. Personally, I've decided the answer is "do what you wanna do". Do you want to be a part seller or a minifig seller?
    Personally I tend to opt for parts, because it widens my range by more than 1 item per fig, and it increases my inventory with more than 1 part, which helps attracting buyers. Iconic figs and/or army builder figs are best left in one piece (if you had Pirates 1 soldiers for example), but City is for me the theme that is most likely to get parted out as the figs aren't 'anyone special' :)

    I just uploaded a bunch of town and city minifigs. I prefer minifigs because the picking time per lot is so much less. I uploaded these a couple weeks ago and have already sold several of them across a few different orders.

    I also have a few minifig parts in my store that haven't moved in years. I'm about to have a lot more from this collection I'm parting out, so maybe that will help move some of them. But in my experience, sell whole minifigs whenever possible.

    Either way, you'll probably need to add product images for the catalog if you want your customers to see what they're buying.

    Thanks for the replies! As they are all already assembled correctly when I receive them, I think I'll try to sell them whole first. If that doesn't work, I can always part them out in a few months or so.

    There's a lot of them though! I have 350 of them coming my way now :) Some classic space and pirates too...

    Hoping to be able to open up the shop again next weekend, so keep an eye out for them!

    As far as I could see they looked good, but I'll have to check when I received the package. There should be some red, yellow, black and blue Benny's in there :)

    Always exciting buying such lots, you never know what it's gonna be worth :) I'll check it out, a black Benny would be neat, got fewest of those :D
