I went to set my merge fee to $0.00 and the system told I couldn't do it. It had to be greater than -1. Well, it was! Just me or something else going on?
The system doesn't let one put $0.00 for some reason, I had tried that too.
Though, remember that Paypal charges $0.30 per payment. If you accept multiple payments with no merge fee, you'll lose that precious $0.30 for each addition.
@Stragus, I was making a one time exception. In this case I have micropayments set up so I would have only lost a precious nickel. It almost seemed more customer friendly to not charge anything. But c'est la vie, it all worked out and the customer was happy.

That should do the trick for you.
