Invoicing

edited July 2014 in Brick Owl Vote Up0Vote Down
I'm a total n00b here and I just got myself two little orders in my store. I was wonder how I can create an invoice in such a way that it contains a list of parts and prices. On BL, there is an ORDERDETAIL tag in the invoice generator that returns this. On BO, all I see so far is an option to download orders, but that (1) downloads all orders in a single XML and (2) does not contain the parts and prices.

I'm using my own invoicing software and it would be useful if I can select an order, and then either download or copy the data (including parts list) for that particular order, and let my software parse it and add it to my administration. Is this possible, or what is the best way to invoice on BO?

Thanks! :)

See: http://www.brickowl.com/api_docs if you want to create your own invoices.

If you want to use BrickOwl's there is an option to print a picking list from within the order detail screen by clicking on "other actions". There is also an invoice view that includes some of the header and footer info.
  • Excellent, thanks :) That seems to work beautifully. With the "view" command and the "items" command, I should be able to create invoices that contain both the order details and the list of items by simply copying the BO order number :)
I'm not gonna risk automatic syncing yet.. that'll have to go manually for now until I feel confident enough to give that a whirl :D
