How do the Superheroes minifig categories work, in the sense of what goes where?
Batman (28)
DC Comics Super Heroes (48)
Marvel Super Heroes (48)
Spider-Man (31)
Super Heroes (20)
---> DC Universe (13)
---> Marvel Universe (7)
So Batman is obviously the first wave of Batman sets, same thing for the Spiderman category.
But the others are a bit confusing for me. For example:
Batman with Black Suit (Original Cowl) is in DC Comics Super Heroes > Batman
whereas
Batman with Black Suit (Updated Cowl) is in Super Heroes > DC Universe
It seems difficult to find particular versions if you don't know exactly what they are called, and you need to look in multiple categories to find and compare them. Would it not be easier if the 13 in Super Heroes / DC Universe were moved into DC Comics Super Heroes, and the same with Marvel. Or is there some bigger reason that I have missed as to why there are two categories for the more modern releases that causes them to be split like this?

Super Heroes (any that somehow don't fit into the other categories)
-> DC
--> Batman
-> Marvel
--> Spiderman
That is, place the first wave in with the others. Maybe give them their own category if need be. For someone who is fairly comic book branding inept as I am, let's make it easy. After all, you want the LEGO mom to be able to find the replacement for junior, right?

The simpler, the better.
I was actually trying to use it as a tick list for what I already have, and having it split was causing me some difficulty finding some minifigs until I realised that they were in a second category. So I did it on brickset instead which I think uses BL data for categories.
