My Feedback Ratio is HORRIBLE

111 orders and only 25 of those are left from customers. I know it's not a huge deal but that's pretty bad. I'm thinking this is because leaving feedback isn't user friendly. That's the only reason I can think of. At this point, I'm thankful for the feedback boost.

  • Leaving feedback certainly isn't as obvious and user-friendly as it could be. Personally, I think it should be far more obvious to anyone, buyer and seller, when there are orders awaiting feedback.
  • I agree. I had a buyer the other day tell me how pleased he was with my service then asked how he could leave me a positive feedback.

  • Is it really that different than other marketplaces? Its at the end of the order line when you look at your order pages, like most other major marketplaces. This is how I leave feedback on orders at ebay, BL, etc... and it seems the same here.

Perhaps its more a sign of the wide range of customers it is bringing in...not just people used to marketplaces(BL, ebay, etc) but people that shop at places like amazon etc. I hate to admit it, but I have never left a review/feedback for an Amazon seller, but do for every sale/purchase on sites like ebay, BL and here. I just feel its a different type of marketplace and draws in more first time/one time users than the competition would with its hurdles to finding/buying what you need. Not sure I explained my POV well, but I do not think it is as big of a deal as some.
  • You might be right, but that doesn't explain the terrible ratio. I have almost everyone leave feedback for transactions on ebay and at least 75% on BL.
  • I sell loads on ebay and probably 50% at most leave feedback, bricklink is more like 90% and here seams about 25% but I can live with it due to the feedback boost

Actually it is the point I am trying to make, I just may have made it poorly :) People that use those sites KNOW the feedback systems and they are similar over those sites. Perhaps BO is bringing in more mainstream net buyers, those that are not as familiar with leaving feedback on a website purchase. Those that use ToysRUs, Target, Amazon websites may find BO accessible, which is a wonderful thing, and I could care less if they leave feedback as long as they shop on the site. My parents who are just retired, do a lot of internet buying, but have never used ebay or a similar marketplace site. They for some reason are just content finding it on major retail sites where they can just plop it in their cart and checkout. They find ebay and the likes pretty awkward and I am sure many others do as well. Heck, judging by the number of referrals I get from WoB and ReBrickable it would seem like many people do not know BO and the likes exist. I always think the number of referrals would be small and LEGO lovers would find and know about BO and the competition, but I think the numbers prove that wrong. I personally think the feedback system is setup the same as BL or Ebay essentially, this site just generates more traffic tat is either unfamiliar with or does not care about leaving feedback.
  • There's already been a discussion on feedback where stores mention their feedback percentage. I think mine was about 35%

I think there's lots of one off customers who buy and never come back. It's not that they're unhappy with their experience, I think they just want a few items and that's it, so they probably don't click received or leave feedback.
  • Ours too is about 30%, TBH I don't worry about that and don't ask / chase anyone regarding it. As long as none is negative life is good :)

As Markyd mentions above, a lot of ours appear to be 1 off purchases so it's kind of expected that they may only come back to the site once every few months if ever.
