can we have a list by colour option on the order screen

would it be possible to have a list by colour option on the order screen , at the minute you have a condition and name option , sadly for me my parts are stored by colour , so it would be easier for me to pack if i had an order listed by colour , thx jc

If you intend to grow at all, change your storage system post haste.

  • People do have different storage systems. and what might be fine for you, could be a problem for others (apart from storing new/used separately which is a must, it depends on available room(s), sort of storing facilities which are used, amount of inventory, specialised store or not etc. Being able to choose the order (on a checklist) by category, item ID or colour would help picking orders much faster. Yesterday I picked an order here (only 35 parts), and it took me so much more time than the same would have been with a BL order where I can sort the items by item ID. BTW, that's why my shipping delay here is 2-5 days after receipt of payment while I ship BL orders at once next day.
  • Same here. I had a 154 Part/35 Lot order and it took a lot more time to pick as on BL.
I also would love to have a possibility to choose the order.
  • There are now many different display options for the name column. This column can be sorted ascending or descending after you chosen what will be showing it. It can then be combined with any of the other columns. I don't know exactly how many permutations that gives you, but it sure is a lot of different ways to sort it :)

Let me know if you need any more
  • For me it works fine now!
Thanks again for very fast update!
  • Thanks for all the fast changes!

We have over 70,000 parts and organize by ID number (we participate in an employment training program and as such do not always hire LEGO literate help). It doesn't look like the current catalog can be easily changed to organize by ID number, but maybe in the future you could consider it?

    Thx, Tracy
  • That is one of the options in the order screen, are you referring to somewhere else?

LOL, I cleared my cache and now I see the I can do it that way.

Thanks for all you are doing! Tracy

  • I am sorting my orders by- Category/ Name ID Color/ Note. This is the closest I can find according to how my inventory is organized. A couple of things I've run into that throw my order off. Basic Bricks are called bricks/ standard. This puts them after Brick/ Arch and Brick/ Modified. I am use to them coming first. Windows are under doors and windows. So when I get to the d's I am pulling from my w bin for windows. Not a huge deal, but I'm sure other sellers have their inventory organized the other way for selling on BL.
Thank you for making it possible to sort by id number within a category (I never found this on BL). If I have 2 or 3 boxes dedicated to 1 category, it saves me having to scan through my numbers to keep from pulling a box twice.
    Thanks again.

  • It would also be very helpful to be able to sort by Condition/ Category/ Name ID Color/ Note. And if we could have the wording for USED show in red--it makes it stand out and the chance of pulling new by mistake a lot lower.
    Thanks
  • Sorry! 1 more. If bricks and plates could be sorted incrementally according to size that would be good. 1x1--1x16 on to 2x2--2x16 4x4-- etc.
    Thanks

If I understand currently, you can do this by shift clicking on the columns, there is a little note about it right above the table. Sort by condition and then shift click on the next column header.

    I will color the conditions

How is the system handling sorting of stud dimensions at the moment? I don't have a suitable order to see

Part of the issue here is that the numbers are being sorted alphabetically. So 10x10 comes before 1x8
because one and zero come before one and 'x'. To rectify it the 1x8 should really be named 01x8 or even 01x08 since 01x10 will trump 01x2. Not sure how BL handled it.

Side note: If you are making a slideshow and decide to rename all your pictures in numerical order for how you want your slideshow to go, put leading zeroes on the single digit ones. Otherwise your pictures will show as 1, 10, 11 ... 19, 2, 20 ... Or just number the first one as 100 and go from there.

  • Okay, added to the list.
