Note Member's Country

I received a message from a BO member asking about international shipping. They sent a regular message - NOT a request for quote through my shop. However, when I click on the member's name, there is nothing that indicates where the sender lives. I need to know this before I can give a shipping estimate. Therefore, please have the member page indicate their country of residence. For example, this page about me

says nothing about where I live. Of course, if the member is also a seller and not just a buyer, you can click on the member's store to find out where it is located. But this does not work for members who are only buyers.

It's probably intended to have to request a quote to make that information available to you.

If a buyer wants an approximative quote without filling up a cart, then he should specify where he wants to ship.

Buyers don't always do what they should. Thus, WE should make it at easy as possible - for them and us. I see no reason why a buyer's country should be hidden.

I'm not comfortable showing all customers address country on their user profile. Best thing to do would be to ask the customer to request a quote at checkout.

Yes a country will be a nice extra item.

I received yesterday a question from a member here, if it was possible for pick up the order at my house.
No problem for me but sometimes it's easier to know were that member lives and maybe it's cheaper for shipping.
Maybe also 'country and region'.

That's now been done via a flag on user profiles, based on their country preference rather than their address
