Notes on Buyer

Is there a way to make notes on a buyer that can be visible when they are placing an order. I can't find anything. This would be a very helpful feature if it was added.
My need for it at the moment is a repeat buyer who has requested a tracking # both times. I don't routinely add it to each order, but it would be nice to be ahead of him on the next order, and a note on the buyer would remind me to do this.
