Priority Mail shipping zones

Priority Mail in the US is broken down into zones which makes for a very large range of prices that fall under the same shipping method here. As it is I just have a flat rate for all Priority Mail within the US but this can mean an overcharge or undercharge and sometimes it is for a significant amount when it is a heavy order. Is there anyway to break the US down into zones by zip code or is this just not doable?

  • You can always use the most expensive range in your shipping settings and then refund the difference. Often I am able to get an order to go in a flat rate bubble mailer which is $5.70. Otherwise move to Kansas to centralize yourself as much as possible. Tornado much?

  • If I remember right, as Canada and Australia at least have the same issue, admin was working on it and the last changes made to the addressing system were a step towards it happening.

This my hopeful interpretation of what I have read anyway.
