Royal Mail have stopped all shipping to Canada due to Postal strike in Canada

I have an order 4.12.24 to go to Canada, however due to the postal strike in Canada, Royal Mail are not shipping parcels for an unspecified time. How can we stop this effecting our response times for sending parcels or getting warning emails to ship the order when it is not possible to atm?
