Discovered why inventory "disappears" - is it BrickSync?

... but not how.

This has been driving me crazy for some time, having more physical inventory than shows in store.

Please refer to attached picture.

This is from a recent BL order, several line items in the customer's 170 lot order "zeroed out" and the quantity shows zero on order and is physically also zeroed out in store.
However there were several lots that showed "X" (as in gone) but there was physical inventory still in my store.

If I am correct, "X" should show when a lot is zeroed out from an order on BO?
all my inventory is set to "retain" on BL (hence the qty showing as "0" )

This happened yesterday, there were no current orders outstanding here, and this was the only order on BL.

Now the question is how? And what is the solution?

  • If that lot was set to retain it should have shown as zero quantity if the quantity was zeroed by an order on BL. The X means that the lot was completely deleted. Assuming that you didn't delete any of your stockroom lots it could have been done by Bricksync, for example if you receieved an order here on BO after that BL order. If that BO order contained the remaining items from that lot it would have deleted the lot on BL. That is the most common reason why a lot would be deleted on BL.
  • That was the only order on BL yesterday with none on BO. Therefore the lot wasn't deleted by an order on BO

It wasn't the only lot that got deleted in that order, another five lots were also deleted (with physical stock remaining)
  • Bricksync makes a backup file when receiving orders, you can open the few last ones to see which was the quantity of that part before.
