How to ID CMF's in Cardboard?

Is there any way to ID the newer series now in cardboard packaging, so as to
be able to sell as new/sealed?

Using a code reader the QR code shows as invalid, and the digital marker code
seems to be unreadable/unrecognized

@Graham I use the Brick Search app. It's pretty good, although if you don't have a good signal when trying the QR (not barcode) it can struggle a little. Don't know if these QR codes differ from place to place so can't guarantee it will work with North American boxes. I have it on Android - don't know if it's available for Apple.

Searched Apple and found a different app - mini-fig scan but it worked great! Also happy that its 3 complete sets in at least the first box of DnD
