Non-English Users

I'm interested in getting some information on how users from non-english speaking countries use Lego websites.

A lot of the website has been translated into various languages, including the catalog. This means things like part names, part categories, colors etc are all translated. Is this helpful? Or would some users prefer the catalog stay in english? As other websites like Bricklink/Rebrickable/Pick a brick have all item names/colors in english

  • I and my team prefer English, but lot of our CZ customers use Czech language (mainly parents with children, hobby builders...) People who build MOCs and spends more time with LEGO prefer English with classical terminology (plates, hinge, arch etc).

Personally, I would like it if the customer had a choice. :)
  • Thank you for the insight. That is what I’m considering, having two language options. One language for the website like the shopping cart and all the buttons. Then another language option for the catalog parts and colors.
  • I've now added a checkbox in the regional settings, so non-english users can disable the catalog translation
