Shipping Quote/Cart Change

Would it be possible to make it so that if items in the customers' cart sell; to make it so they don't have to go into the cart, remove the items, and submit another request quote for shipping. I have customers complaining about this all the time as a result of having to submit multiple quotes because items that are in their carts sold faster than they could finalize the order.

  • If they remove items, it won't clear the quote. If they reduce the quantity, it will, so maybe that's what's happening. I will see if I can resolve that.
  • That change has now been made. The quote will be removed if the shipping address is changed, the cart is emptied, a new item is added, or the quantity of an item is increased.
  • What has happened is that an item in their cart sold before they could finalize the order. The system makes them remove the item and requires them to request a new quote before submitting the order.

  • If they remove items, it won't remove the quote. If they reduce the quantity, rather than removing it, previously, it would have removed the quote, I have now changed that.
  • Thank you Lawrence. This will make it easier on a few of my customers who seam to have things sell out before they can finalize their order. You adjustments are greatly appreciated.
