PayPal is a very popular payment method. It's also one of the most expensive ones (between 3% to 4%) , when compared to credit cards (via Stripe at around 1.2%).
Searching the internet wether is helps in converting a shopping basket to a sale, confirms this. Of course, these confirmations are often by PayPal led posts, so not really objective.
As a consumer myself, I use PayPal too. But if it's not available in a specific store, I pay with credit card. I don't recollect NOT buying what I was intending to buy, based on PayPal not being available. However, that's only me. A bit light to make a solid conclusion.
Are there store owners who have experimented with offering PayPal and removing it again, to see the impact on conversion?
We all have thoughts and opinions on this, no doubt, but which store/steller has done the tests or experiments to know instead of think?
My store doesn't have enough orders per day/week, so my experiment wouldn't be significant because of the low volume.
