Why is it called BrickOwl?

My wife just asked me the above question, I couldn't answer and the about us was not much help. So, do you know? What other interesting tidbits about the site's history can you share with this noob?

Also, who is the second creator, besides, presuming, @Lawrence mentioned on the about us page?

I don't know why it's called Brick Owl, but there is a fun 'owls sold' count (found in the stats list at the bottom of the page)!
