How to measure Advent calendar items

I am adding some dimensions for items and I have a few that are Advent calendar items, i.e. https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-the-avengers-advent-calendar-set-76196-1-subset-day-1-iron-man-in-christmas-sweater

How do I measure this since they are in a plastic outer wrap? Do I lay them flat as possible and measure the LxWxH that way? Or should I combine the LWH of all the parts individually?

Usually yes, measure them like a polybag, so lay the bag flat and try to measure it.
