Instant check out didn't charge enough for shipping

Hi all, so I have someone who purchased the following piece: Basketball Net with Axle (11641), which definitely will not fit through the large letter gauge here in Australia (20mm) and some how Brick Owl allowed them to select the Large letter rate (which is $2.40) for postage where this piece will need to be sent as a parcel (starting rate is about $10). I have my Large Letter packaging dimensions set to 220mm 165mm and 150mm for L, W and H respectively.
I have changed the shipping method to request quote so I can update the shipping cost to parcel rate.
My quesion is how did this happen, and how can I prevent it from happening again?

If you have your limit set at 150mm, 20mm is less than 150mm. Maybe you meant to set that to 15mm?

thanks for that, such a silly mistake on my end, after struggling to find the shipping settings, I have now updated that and hopefully it won't happen again
