Whitelabel and wrong tagging in GA4 & GAds

Hi,
is there anyone here who uses Whitelabel and actively works with Google Analytics and Google Ads data?

Google Analytics shows us the correct data regarding clicks and conversions, but when we look at the data in more detail it doesn't match reality.

If we receive an order from Google Ads, BrickOwl will tell us in External Source that it came from advertising, but nothing like that shows up in Google Analytics.

We've gone through all the possible tutorials and settings, but nothing has helped.

It seems to me that BrickOwl is mis-tagging clicks from Ads and making a mess of it.

Thanks for checking

  • As Google Analytics is a javascript implementation, it can be blocked by user-side extensions. This may be responsible in some instances for mismatching of local and remote reporting.
  • We only have google analytics for users already logged in to the website, so this does not work very well with google ads tracking. We need consent from the user to use things like Google analytics. For users that are logged in, they have given this consent by signing up. For users that are not logged in, we would need to have an annoying cookie pop up warning for every user that visits which we don't want to do.
