Image URLs in the API

The catalog endpoints in the API let you retrieve all kinds of information on BOIDs, like the part name and color name. But it is missing a URL to an image of the part. It would nice if this was included. Third party applications could then more easily display BrickOwl wishlists, store inventories, etcetera.

Personal use case: my tool at brickonomics.net/multibuy allows users to import a Brick Owl wishlist and then find the cheapest stores. I can now only show the part name and color name which is suboptimal.

For comparison: the Rebrickable API does list image urls, which is very nice.

We don't have a license available for the use of catalog images, only for the textual catalog data

What do you mean exactly? You might want to share this data but are not allowed?

As images are subject to copyright, you would need a license to use the images. We don't make any license available for the use of images from Brick Owl. We only make a license available for the textual data.
