Can’t put store into Closed mode

Hi. Folks
Hopefully someone can help with this. We go on holiday tomorrow and I am trying to close the store. So in settings I changed status to closed and then update. I then get a message saying Store Banner Must Be Rectangular . It then reopens the store.

Any ideas?
