So, on the 1st of every month we have to pay commission. I'm set up by DD so it's just a case of clicking a button. I usually do this within the first week, which I did. A few days later, after I get confirmation of the DD by email, I then come back and pay the affiliate commission, using the PayPal option. I did this the other day but instead of it coming off the affiliate balance, the amount I paid was set against the BO commission that had been accrued since the beginning of the month, an amount that doesn't fall due until 1/9. This means the affiliate amount still needs to be paid, and now I'm getting reminders.
It's only a few quid but this is not how I expected it to work. I think I understand what's happened, in that the threshold for paying BO commission has again been reached since the DD was actioned, and because the affiliate amount hadn't been paid, the system believes that the BO commission is also due.
This is overly complicated and, imo, unnecessary behaviour. I get why the DD can't handle the affiliate payment too, but once that DD has been triggered, no further BO commission should be payable until the next due date, regardless if the affiliate commission has been paid. Otherwise you end up with odd situations like this where you could suspend my store even though I've done what I've always done.

It makes sense to prevent further BO commissions from being paid until after the DD has been triggered. This would help prevent situations similar to your own, where affiliate commission payments affected BO commissions.
