Ability to customize notification messages sent to buyers

It would be really nice to have the ability to customize the messages sent out to the buyers.
It would enable us to make the notifications match the stores brand and appearance, and would provide the opportunity to provide additional information to the buyer about the buying proces, cancelation proces, return policies, etc.
It would also satisfy compliance with EU law that requires additional information to be presented to the buyer.

  • Would you be able to give an example of how you would like to customize the communications, and which communications in particular?
  • Modifications would for example be to customize the language based on the location of the Buyer (e.g. Dutch for NL buyer, Germen for DE buyer, english for the rest of the world), personalized message to the buyer for example that their order has been shipped and is on its way to <location of the buyer> to enhance the user experience a buyer has.

    But also to include additional promotional mesages such as reference to a discount coupon code, information about closed store or limited availability due to vacation, etc.

    Next to that there are countries (espacially in EU) that require that general terms are included in the order confirmation, and/or additional info about cancelation or return policies. Just publishing them on a page in the store is not sufficient for that, yu would need to include them or reference them via a link in the message.

    Typically I would see these modifications applicable for the confirmation notification and the sent/shipped notification.
