Captain America Shields

Is there a difference between the Captain America shield that comes in http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-captain-america-s-avenging-cycle-set-6865 and http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-captain-america-vs-hydra-set-76017 ?

Lego thinks it is a new part, I wonder whether the only difference is that one is red and one is dark red.

I just spent a minute looking over the two side by side, while my dark red shields seem to have a better print job on them, they do appear to be the same print pattern. Only difference is old one is dark red vs new one is regular red. Only difference I could see.
