Can I tell if a person has logged in since my last message?

I had an order from a brand new user and they wanted to pay cash. I have the address to send it to under the payment details. I also sent them a message just to make sure they knew where to send it.
However, I have not heard anything from them as far as a response or anything at all.
It was just 5 days ago so I will still give them time with snail mail and all, but is there a way to see when a user has last logged in or if they have opened my message?

    It would be nice to know if messages are read. I've had a number of unresponsive customers and you're left wondering whether they did not read your questions or they chose not to respond.

    With check or cash orders one has to eventually guess the payment will not come through and cancel the order.

    Messages are emailed to the customer, so such indicators would not give a reliable idea of if amessage had been read or not.

    Partly unreliable... an "unread" indicator could mean a message had been read or not but a "read" indicator would mean it HAD been read. It's not important anyway, just something to help determine when to cancel an order.
