API for inventory updates

Would it be possible to add an API to update inventory. I am specifically thinking of modifying the quantity of items that are already listed in my store when they are sold elsewhere. When I sell two of a specific item I would provide the "external_id" and a quantity adjustment of "-2" to reduce my BrickOwl inventory for that item.
