Black wheels and rims for MOC

I'm doing a LAV/Stryker MOC and need eight wheels with black tires and black rims.

I originally ordered ones using the Technic axle, but they do not roll very well (at the least the ones I bought), so I'm wondering if someone could suggest a different mix, maybe with the wheel holder pins instead of the black axles.

I was thinking of trying these - Plate 2 x 2 with Wheel Holder (4488 / 10313), but I'm not sure which rim an tire to use. I think this wheel holder would work too - Plate 1 x 2 with Wheel Holder without Reinforced Underside (21445), but I'm not sure how to figure out which rim goes inside which tire.

Do the 18 rims go inside 30.4 tires? Or is it a different combo?

Any help or suggestions on choices would be greatly appreciated.

So I am not aware of any rims that you could use with the wheel holder and with 30.4 tyres. Your selection is either technic pin or axle to connect the rim.

Personally I love axle connection wheels. After building 31127: Street Racer I used the same wheel type to mod my 71780: Kai's Ninja Race Car EVO to be faster and actually have rubber tires...

Depends on what do you concider to be a medium size rim? There are nowadays quite a lot of different size rims with different styling.
