Are refunds automatic via paypal

i had a set listed for sale here and on ebay , it sold on ebay over xmas but i forgot to remove it from my brickowl inventory . Last night it sold on the owl and i had to cancel order . Does anyone know how long it takes the refund to go back to buyer , he paid via paypal , thx jc

That will depend on how you have your PayPal setup. When you submit the form there would have been a message letting you know if it was automatic or you need to submit it.

@Lawrence does that mean it is possible to set Paypal up in a way that if I make a refund it automatically comes out of my Paypal account too? Be great if this was the case.

If you have PayPal for Business (or Premium in some countries) I believe the refund should be automatic in almost all cases - perhaps not if PayPal doesn't have sufficient funds.

I don't think mine is a business Paypal account, will have to see how easy it is to convert it to one, thanks.

@pippyblocks I believe you need to phone PayPal (there is a UK number somewhere on the website) and ask them to switch you over. They may ask you a few questions and check your recent transactions to see if you're eligible but you probably won't have any issues. I've always found them helpful and if they do switch you it's pretty rapid.

@pippyblocks Unless they have changed it, you can upgrade from within your account without needing to ring them.
