Part difference

Hi all is the one on the left what is classed as hollow tube spacer as the LEGO Slope 2 x 2 (45°) Inverted does not show the difference between the two items. As always your help is always much appreciated.

    I think in this case there are only the two variants; tube and flat spacer. Whether the tube itself is hollow or not is immaterial. Probably a better description would be to lose the word 'hollow' to avoid confusion.

    These variant tubes crop up on all sorts of parts and I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest it's just a molding variant, rather than something which offers a functional difference. Could even be a way for LEGO to save on material. Doesn't seem like much on one part, but scale it across millions of parts...
