Creating Assemblies?

I have a few Dragon Eggs that I want to put up for sale.
They consist of a bottom and a top part.

I do however only wish to sell them together. How do I create an assembled part like:

Or is there a policy against this?

  • I think (and others may chip in!) that first you have to create the assembled item as a new entity (See 'Edit catalog' link at the bottom of the page). During this process you can categorise it as a mini build, as opposed to a part, set or Minifigure. May be wise to add a note for admin too. I'm not sure if at this stage you can also inventory the mini build or have to wait for approval first, but if you can then that all saves time. At the end of the day, try one and if admin don't like it you won't have wasted too much time.

I have a recollection that a couple of years ago there was a discussion around minibuilds and how the combinations of parts (I think it was the 1x2 hinged brick...) could potentially have many color combinations which don't exist in sets, and I think they were got rid of or not encouraged. I think if the eggs in question do appear in a set you'll probably be fine - but don't quote me on that!!

    Best of luck
  • I think you have to wait for approval and then add the inventory, if memory serves... :-)
