Historically, we were unable to pass the shipping address of the customer along to the PayPal payment, so sometimes the PayPal and shipping address on an order would differ. This was due to PayPal attempting to validate the address, and rejecting payments where it considered the address to be invalid.

It looks like this has since been changed, and PayPal now silently ignores the address if it considers it to be invalid.

As a result, we have now enabled passing the customer shipping address to PayPal. The result should be that the large majority of orders paid via PayPal will have a shipping and a PayPal address that will match. Please do let us know if you hear any complaints from customers where payments are being rejected.

Paypal and Shipping to were different and the Paypal address was used an not the Ship To:. I have seen this several times and the order ships to the old address. I have had to refund several orders.

That's great if this is solved. Would reduce some discussions with Paypal in case of claims.
Anyhow the main problem stays - people are to relaxed with updating their addresses. So many addresses are wrong / different / missing information. In the 21st century people should be able to enter and update their own address digitally. :-)
