Canceled orders--can items get returned to stock?

Just did my first canceled order and refund. So is there a way to select to have the items put back in inventory that I just missed somehow. I did a manual check on a couple items, and they were not returned to stock,

Yes, there is a return to stock checkbox next to each item on the cancel/refund form. Unfortunately if you've already submitted it, it's too late I'm afraid.

Ok, it's not a big deal to do this adjustment manually. I will know for future reference.
