30593 LOM martian hypersled

I've got a 30593 sled here. Catalog purportedly says this should be glow-in-the-dark white. I can't get this thing to glow in the dark. No way. Could somebody in possession of one or more of these items please check for its ability to glow. I'm thinking it is just "milky white" and not "glow in the dark white"…or there is an unaccounted for color in the catalog. Or something.

Hmmm I've had and sold these, but never saw a GITD color, only solid white.

That definitely looks like it was glow in the dark at some point in time, but I believe white versions also exist (not milky white, though).

I've just put an UV light on mines and they definitely glow.

I looked at mine, but the color is definitively used to glow-In-The-Dark, it does not retain light like other GITD parts.

Thanks everybody for the comments. The acquisition of one black light and some internet searching later…the science seems to say that the glow should last 15-20 years, maybe longer if the glow things have been kept in the dark.

This sled appears definitively white when under blacklight. Picture attached.

Compare to ForeverSorting's image: this sled does not exhibit the transparency at the object's periphery or the glow-in-the-dark green color.

Attached image has a white envelope in the background; this "glows" similarly to the sled under blacklight. The minifigures' arms, legs, and the bunny are all white and do not glow at all.

The new ghost shroud radiates the expected glow-in-the-dark green quite strongly, and the glow persists for a couple minutes when the blacklight is removed. The old ghost shroud radiates green when under the light, but less strongly, and does not persist anywhere near as long.

I'm not sure what to think at this point, except maybe try to get another sled or two and compare.
