Geographical Price History

Just wondering.

Is there a possibility to see the price history on a more detailed geographical way?

I see some avg prices go way up due to some foreign shops and it would be great to filter these out automatically.

If it's not a feature it could be a usefull one for development to my opinion.

Yes, I agree and it has cropped up on the forum in the past. Whether it is being considered or whether there are current technical stumbling blocks to overcome first, I don't know, but would be very useful.

I have been begging for that for soooooo long (then sellers can eliminate some of those errr skews a couple of stores drive from other nations)... I suggest everyone upvote this!!! :-)

Interesting topic. Wouldn't it be more interesting to make it a bit more generic and not based on geographic location (which might be hard to implement)? A possible easier way to implement this with a similar purpose, might be (design idea):
- keep average as is (because otherwise it wouldn't be average any longer)
- add an extra calculated number, which would be the 10/90 percentile average: still a mathematical correct formula, but where the lowest and highest 10% of prices are not taken into account. This will filter out excess prices automatically, both at the lower and at the higher boundaries.

That too would also help a LOT!! :-) One nice thing though about geographical is you are cost-comparing to your more likely sources of competition, but really, the core issue remains those wild outliers of incredibly high (e.g., $12.00 for a $0.50 part) or wildly low (e.g., $0.001 for a $0.17 part). :-)

While I understand that there is an issue with outliers, for me this is about geographical regions. I only sell in the UK so I would like my default pricing to reflect that, I don't want it to be affected by what's being sold in America, Australia or even the rest of Europe.

Maybe there should be a separate suggestion thread for dealing with the outliers? If that is an easier change and maybe more likely to happen it may have a better chance as a standalone suggestion.
