Lego dimensions

Hi there, just wondering if anyone could help me with something.

Have a large selection of lego dimensions character tags/disks ready to go into my store but I'm a little confused.

As far as I can tell the disks are compatible as follows.

Xbox one disks - Xbox one compatible only

Xbox 360 disks - Xbox 360 compatible only

PS3 PS4 and Wii - Cross compatable through these platforms.

These character disks are not originally my own and I have no idea of knowing what platforms these are for. Theres also the issue of when listing them on brick owl theres no option to say what platform there from. (At least from the ones if dry run).

If anyone can help out I'd be very thankful.

    Hmm, I had no idea that there was a compatibility issue. I have sealed boxes of the story pack (the Fantastic Beasts one) and some of the character ones and none mention a requirement for, or a distinction of, platform. Having never played the game I'm not familiar with the nuts and bolts of it, but it sounds like the game itself can be purchased for different platforms and the parts/figures (including the tag discs) are cross compatible. If others know different though...

    Only the starter kits are platform dependent, all extensions packs are not.

    The character tags can be used on all platforms. It is the big base that you put the tags on that is platform dependent. And if you look at the label on the bottom of that, it'll tell you which platform it's made for.

    Thank you very much for your help, what you say makes a lot of sense. Maybe my source of research had it wrong. Funnily enough theres not much information regarding this subject online so you've all been a great help clearing this up for me.
