We mainly use Stanley small parts organizers. The trick is to carefully stack tiles and avoid any unnecessary manipulation. See attached images of drawers containing 2 x 4 and 1 x 8 tiles.
Key thing I have found is not to store them in too large a container so they don't rattle against each other. I also use rubber coated tweezers to pick them for orders to avoid fingerprints.
Tiles are really difficult to store and some colours more than others. Many a time we have downgraded new to used. In fact recently we purged a lot of used from out store for the reason.
Back to new, we store them all in drawers in our storage set up and try to stack them neatly, as Pikka says above.
