State of shipping to UK from EU?

I have shipped a few orders to UK since Jan 1st but as far as I know none have arrived yet. Some say they still have not received their order.

I have put the CN22 on the envelopes as usual when shipping to outside EU, but there's obviously more required now. How should UK VAT be dealt with? BO collects it but then what? How do I or anybody else prove that?

I obviously can't keep shipping orders to the UK if they never arrive, gets destroyed, or whatever happens to them, until all this is sorted out. Has anybody shipped to UK from EU and know the order has arrived? What did you do as far as UK VAT, customs, etc, that is required?

I've had a couple arrive okay. I ensure there's an invoice inside, a CN22 and a label on the box with BO's VAT number and a declaration that VAT has been paid.

Ok... so does this label have to look/be done in some certain way or just a simple "VAT PAID" and the BO VAT number? Can it be ok to just write that on the CN22 label?

I have no idea, it's a custom label that I decided to stick on. Given the lack of official guidance I thought it better to do something than nothing.

Just a bit of info, mainly for the UK stores. There are 2 versions of the customs label CN22 ! One type has a bar code and at the top says for STANDARD/ECONOMY services, the other has no bar code and is for Track & Trace services.

@SimplyBricks I can only see one type of CN22 (without barcode) on the Royal Mail Website, and the barcode seems to be a separate sticker called S10. Do you have a link to the CN22 with barcode?

We only have barcoded now. The barcode is scanned and info entered at the postal service. Not sure what would happen if there was no barcode... Imagine it would be far more difficult to match a letter with info in the system without the barcode.

Can I get the barcoded and unbarcoded ones on a roll from the Post Office?

BricksinBin ... the CN22 without the barcode is for Track & Trace ! So the barcode on those stickers will be used!

Thank you Simply Bricks. Let's hope I can pick up a roll of the Barcode ones. My fear is they are only printed one at a time at the Post Office, which is a no go for me.
