Sets with colour alternates -- How?

Is there a mechanism to show alternates in a set for colour differences of the same part?

A few sets where production was/is before and after the grey colour changes one type I am working on now.

The service pack for 2 air tanks was blue tanks and now they are white with the same set # another example.

    Unfortunately not at the moment. I essentially disabled user control over alternates. When I did that, I forgot there are some occasions like this one where that is not helpful. I will come up with a system, probably allowing it on certain sets. It's near the top of my list, but so are a few other things at the moment.
