Looking for minifigure sticker templates for Lego Castle 6075-2

Hello,

Hoping someone might be able to help with this please...

...I'd like to get some of my favourite minifigures from when I was a kid. Easiest/cheapest way to do this increasingly looks like buying blank minifigure torsos and printing out stickers.

Does anyone have any tips as to what is best to print stickers onto (eg paper, plastic etc)? And does anyone happen to know if templates are online anywhere for the figures in the Lego Castle 6075-2 please? I found some castle torso templates at http://www.classic-castle.com/howto/articles/Torsos.html, but sadly couldn't see what I was after (eg https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-light-gray-minifig-vest-with-yellow-crown-on-purple-background-sticker).

Cheers, Dan

  • You could try finding front view/back view images of the figures online (e.g., google.com/images), and cropping the image to just the torso using native operating system paint tools? Then print on regular paper until its the size you want before you use your more expensive sticker paper.

You can also look for deals here for the actual minifigures, adding them to your wish list. The wish list tool MIGHT have options for max pricing (I've never used it), so you'd then get an email for when the figure is available for a price you are comfortable with.

Just a few ideas - good luck, dansuri!
  • Thanks for your suggestions Calibrick!
  • I would suggest you look at https://www.discountstickerprinting.co.uk/custom-stickers/sticker-sheets.html. They offer free samples. Start there and see if quality-wise and otherwise something they're offering is suitable for your purposes.

In the samples, pay attention to the off-colors. Is pink a solid pink or is it a halftone or dot pattern build? If their process isn't capable of printing solid colors, and that's something you definitely want, then you'll need to make some executive decisions.

If the printing quality and available substrates meet with your satisfaction, then you will want a custom kiss-cut sheet.

If you do not see something in their samples similar to the ones shown on this page: https://www.stickermule.com/products/sticker-sheets (the cat one is a good example) ask if they offer a such a sheet.

If you want the art created for this project, contact me offline to discuss pricing and specs and timeline, etc. If you or someone you know local to you has the appropriate skill set and Illustrator, Inkscape or similar vector-art creation software then they could also put something together for you. And the sticker company might be able to do the artwork for you. Ask them.

Peeron has kind of iffy reference for the original sheet http://media.peeron.com/pics/inv/custpics/3238.1302832425.jpg (look around, someone else may have better)… But a piece of artwork similar to that is what you're going to want created. And the art will be a little extra fussy because you'll need a "special layer" to indicate where the sticker cuts are.

All said and done, I have no idea if this route will be price competitive with just getting the actual pieces from someone or not. On the other hand, given the current situation with postage and VAT and Brexit and having to source from multiple vendors and whatever else is going on in the world, it might be.
  • Hi Dan,

I have one each of set 375 and 6075 which haven't been sorted since I bought them a few years ago!

What I do have which might be of interest to you, is a complete sticker sheet! However, these are NOT originals but a reproduction copy I purchased from a guy in the US, I cannot remember who it was!

This copy of stickers has not been cut out, so one would have to cut them out to fit!

    Mike
  • Dan,
    A quick pic for you!
  • Hello Mike! Sorry for the slow reply. I would be interested in the sticker sheet! I'm also pretty sure I bought some bricks from you a couple of times this month!
