Lego sets

Hi

I have heard of parting out new sets. However, is there any point where it is worth reversing this and parting in used sets?

At the moment it doesn’t seem worth it

Thank you

  • If you have the instructions for a set and all parts and all minifigs (!), I find it a valuable option to sell it as a set instead of separate parts. It's a matter of preference;

    Positive points of selling sets:
    The total revenue might be lower, but the effort that goes into selling and shipping one set is less when compared to selling and shipping several parts.
    The timeline to sell all parts from a set is long. You may want to have a faster moving stock.

    Downsides of putting sets back together:
    - It's time consuming.
    - When you miss a few parts to complete a set, it will cost you money to complete it. Especially when you are missing one or more minifigs.
  • Thank you for your reply. I was trying to put a marvel set together but the ironman minifigure appeared to have a higher price sold individually than the set!
