Legs Color, Hips Color...

Please check the attached image and tell me how many Black legs you see.
Your first reply will probably be: just one. Nevertheless, according to the Catalogue, they are all Black.
Legs (as a minifigure part) consists of Legs (two limbs) and Hips. Unfortunately, Legs color is currently determined by the Hips, which are a smaller part of the assembly.
Suggestion: Change how Legs are catalogued – to reflect the color of limbs, not hips. If you agree, please upvote.

  • Please don't change this. The way it is now is the same as other sites. Maybe they should change it as well, but for sake of compatibality let's keep it the same.

@BasKrie OK, I didn't realize this was a convention, no matter how counter-intuitive it seems.
  • No problem, and yes I stuggled (and sometimes still do) to on them.
    Some from BrickLink:
    Hips and White Legs
    Hips and Yellow Legs
    Hips and Dark Gray Legs
    etc :)

At least, it would be great if there were an option to filter search results by Hip color and Legs (limbs) color separately
  • The proper way to do this would be to give each set of legs its own inventory. That way you'd have individual entries for the hips, left leg and right leg, and you can search on each individually. Even resolving the few legs with different color left/right / wooden leg.
