Hey,
maybe the function is already here and I am not able to find it.
Anyhow, the idea is to send a message to the users if parts from their wishlist is now available. I guess this is a benefit for the users to get a message instead of visiting the page from time to time to check again if they are available.
On the other site there's a function that I (as a seller) can start the message system and inform the users about new items when I've updated my inventory.
From my experience this is there a good thing. I have updated two days ago my inventory and added around 40k parts. I have received from Brick Owl 2 orders which contains from these new parts and I have received 24 orders from the other site.
According my experience the users buy items when they get the information. Sometimes they wait maybe a long time until a part is available and than they directly catch it.
What do you think and what's your expierence?
Regards,
Oliver

It's good than it works like this - anyhow it seems that the users at Bricklink use this message more than here at Brick Owl. It's always the same situation. I upload items to my inventory (Bricklink and Brick Owl), send that message at Bricklink and I receive a lot of orders from Bricklink and only a few from Brick Owl. After around 4 weeks after updating, the amount of orders from Brick Owl is growing and become more than Bricklink. I have recorded this for me now since the last 7 updates. That's curious.
