2. Could someone name a few rare figure, because I might have them in my collection

3. Is there any particularly rare or expensive pieces

4. How will i know if my prices are to high in my shop

5. Is there anyway of seeing what people have wish listed from my store

Could we please update some of the pictures on the catalog so they are better quality and lighting, because i have had an order mix up because of a dodgy picture.

  • Regards images, there's nothing stopping you uploading your own.
  • Yes, regarding images, all "normal" parts are in fact direct from LEGO, shared with Brickowl in real-time.

Images of stickered and older items that LEGO no longer keeps on-hand comes from folks like you and me - in fact, if you take and submit a better (for lack of a better word) photo than what is display today, BO rewards you with "catalog points." You can save those points and spend them for zero fees for 30 days, being featured on BO's home page for 30 days, prizes, etc. It's actually really cool - see "edit catalog" and "catalog points" at the bottom menu of every page for more information.

Only @Lawrence can answer your top themes question, or seeing cross wish lists; but I do think when you list any item, right there on the catalog page it says how many wishlists that part appears in which is great information. It's not custom to your entire store inventory, but the data does exist. :-) I use that to decide whether to finish off a minifig missing a part to determine if its worth buying that part to sell the figure or not, as an example (price point makes no difference if there aren't people interested in buying it <s>).

Re $$ too high, you can pick some key items from your store and see where you show up on the Buy tab in that item's catalog entry. There's more to it then the price alone, though - your prices should be driven by your costs (what you paid, fees owed to BO and your payment service when you sell it, worked-in handling charges (your profit), any other overhead costs you may have). From a customer POV, some ignore what you're charging and look a the that cost + shipping column - if they're only buying the one thing, that column is super important. Having a fair price on a part does zero good if you're charging way higher shipping than you competitors.

But it's also NOT a race to the bottom, either. We get into that and there's zero point for any of us being in business. :-)
