How to move Bricksync to a different laptop

I need to put brick sync onto a new laptop.
Can someone document the procedure for me, so I do not lose any of the data.

Thanks

Just move/copy the entire directory to the new computer. You can delete the inventory backups first (look in data/), if it's a little heavy.

And don't run the old BrickSync on the previous computer.
  • Hi Stragus. Not being computer savvy. can you advise how to copy the directory? where will i find this directory?
  • Unfortunately i will need a step by step guide. I assume that once if find the right directory i can save it to dropbox then on the new system access it from dropbox. But what do i do with it
    Do i download Bricksync first?
  • Insert USB drive in old computer, copy/paste the bricksync directory from drive to USB drive, unmount device.

Or if you want to do it over the internet, it may be easier for you to transfer a single file, so just zip the whole bricksync directory.
