Catalog image upload

When I try to upload an image without background or transparent background in png format it changes to black background when uploaded.

Would it be possible to accept transparent background upload or at least make it white instead of black?

I have uploaded the image to imgur: http://imgur.com/a/zOKtr

First you see a black background, but if you click it shows a white background and if you "open image in new tab" it shows the transparent background.

PD: I don't know it is possible to fix it.

The transparent background is actually working. I think what happens is that the uploaded image viewer is set to have a black background so that is what you see. All my uploaded images are PNG with transparent background and they work correctly in the catalog even though the black background shows in the viewer.

This has now been updated so that it will no longer be black which will stop that confusion going forward.
